Mileage Log Calculator (IRS Standard Rate)

Private by design: your files are read only inside your browser. Your files never leave your browser: nothing is uploaded to a server. We use cookieless Vercel page-view analytics; no file data is collected. Once the page has loaded the tool works offline.

Add each business trip with its date, purpose and either the start and end odometer readings or the miles driven. The calculator applies the IRS business standard mileage rate for each trip's date and totals everything. You can edit the rates.

Not tax advice. This tool does arithmetic on the numbers you enter. Whether a trip or payment counts, which rate or threshold applies, and how to report it depend on your situation. Check with a tax professional or the IRS pages linked here.

1. Rates (business use)

Rates from the IRS standard mileage rates page (checked Oct 31, 2026). For 2026 the IRS published two rates: 72.5 cents per mile for Jan. 1 – June 30 (IR-2025-128) and 76 cents per mile for July 1 – Dec. 31 (IR-2026-29). Edit a rate if it changes or if you need a different one.
